A Different Heart Every Day
When we have room to breathe, we tend to become more generous and less petty.
When we lack that room, we often become narrow-minded and less understanding of others.
The word comfort or peace of mind can mean many things, but the closest example I can think of is money.
Money can create a sense of security, and security can create peace of mind.
Perhaps that is why people often become more generous when they have enough.
Yet money does not always make people generous.
Sometimes it can do the opposite, making people more anxious, possessive, or concerned with what they might lose.
That is why I believe people are constantly changing.
Our thoughts change from day to day, and our emotions change from moment to moment.
The same person can view the same situation differently depending on the day, the circumstances, or the state of their heart.
Perhaps that is what it means to be human.
We live with regrets, reflect on our choices, learn from our mistakes, and continue moving forward.
To me, life is a continuous process of reflection and growth.
I think chaos begins with these constant changes in thought.
And the greater the distance between who we were yesterday and who we are today, the greater the chaos we carry within ourselves.
